This painting is about a big challenge - Inventing light. And more specificly, i nventing sunset lighting in an existing scene such as in the original photo by John Robinson posted at http://paintmyphoto.ning.com/photo/brooklyn-bridge-1 , a dding a special and personal concept to it. In my painting Brooklyn Bridge in the evening light I modified the colours, changed the values, temperature and contrast. I also amended the cable positions. But the most important think I wanted to achieve was to get the glowing light effect. I added the two figures to get an interesting focal point and a central interest.
