Greens family is a difficult colour, especially in landscape painting where we find also the blues family interacting with it. And the overuse of bright greens looks like an amateur painting. At a first look to a photo such as the photo 1 of the Roberton Island by RR, it seem to be easy to reproduce the nature in all its splendour but when it comes to harmoniously transfer it on canvas the colour mix becomes muddy and hence inexpressive. What did I do? Trying something unusual such as mix ing black with yellow to get dark greens, burnet umber with cadmium yellow light for soft tones and eventually phthalo blue with cadmium yellow light to get vibrant tones………

Painting after a photo by adding a variety of colours rich can be a fantastic exercise. This way you can change the entire mood of a simple nature spot, offering to viewer the joy of tropical colours.   Pictura dupa o fotografie oarecum lipsita de culoare, care nu atrage atentia privitorului deoarece nu creeaza emotie. In pictura mea am inventat nuante de culori intr-o   varietate bogata, adaptate peisajului si atmosferei tropicale.  

The Fagaras Mountains (also called "the Romanian Alps"), reach high altitudes in offering wonderful views and landscape. Here one can drive on the Transfagarasan, the most spectacular road in Romania. My painting was inspired from the backround of the Balea the clacial lake with its crystal green-blue water.   Here is the place where the fog and clouds make the picks endless, cover the rocks with a misty envelop, which mysteriously open a window on the world below, where the green meadows are bathed in sunshine. The hills are sweet grassy and gently slopes to a territory of an intensive pastoral life. Muntii Fagaras ( de asemenea, numiti " Alpii Romanesti "), ofera un peisaje si o privelisti minunate de la mari altitudini. Aici se poate conduce pe Transfagarasan , cel mai spectaculos drum din România . Pictura mea a fost inspirata de privelistea de fundal al lacului glaciar Balea cu apa de cristal de o culoare verde - albastruie . Este locul unde...

I painted this portrait in oil colors (WMO). It was a big challenge for me to paint a portrait for the first time and having my grandson as subject.  This is the original photo made by me in Spain - Javea beach
